By using OV Message, you accept these terms of use. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use the application.

Acceptance: Use of the application constitutes full and complete acceptance of these terms.

2. Service description

Standard SMS rates from your mobile operator apply for sending messages.

3. Authorized use

The application is intended for:

  • Communicating privately and securely with your contacts
  • Encrypting your personal messages before sending via SMS
  • Managing, sharing and renewing your encryption keys

Local legislation: Some countries may restrict the use of encryption technologies. It is your responsibility to verify the legality of use in your jurisdiction.

4. Prohibited uses

It is strictly prohibited to use OV Message for:

  • Illegal activities : any activity contrary to the law
  • Harassment : harassing, threatening or intimidating others
  • Spam : sending unsolicited bulk messages
  • Security circumvention : attempting to circumvent the application's protection mechanisms
  • Unauthorized distribution : distributing or modifying the application's source code

5. User responsibility

You are responsible for:

  • The content of the messages you send via the application
  • The protection of your device against unauthorized access

Key loss and Panic Mode: Losing your encryption keys or activating Panic Mode results in the permanent loss of your data. OV Message cannot recover your keys or your messages.

6. Limitation of liability

OV Message is provided "as is", without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. We are not responsible for:

  • Data loss resulting from use of the application
  • The inability to decrypt messages in the event of key loss
  • Service interruptions or hardware incompatibilities
  • Direct, indirect or consequential damages related to use
  • SMS costs charged by your mobile operator

No infallible technology: Although OV Message uses advanced encryption technologies, no technology can guarantee absolute security against all threats.

7. Intellectual Property

The OV Message application, its code, design, and content are protected by intellectual property rights. Any unauthorized reproduction or distribution is prohibited.

It is prohibited to:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute the application without authorization
  • Decompile, disassemble, or reverse-engineer
  • Remove or alter intellectual property notices
  • Use the application to create competing products

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute relating to the use of the application shall be submitted to the competent French courts.

International note: If you reside outside France, you must ensure that the use of OV Message complies with the laws of your jurisdiction.

9. Changes and Contact

Changes to the terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will take effect upon their publication in the application. Continued use of the application constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
