These terms govern the use of the mobile application OV Jungle. They are also accessible in the application, Settings section › Terms of Use. See also the privacy policy and the page support.
These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern access to and use of the OV Jungle mobile application (the "App"), a multiplayer card game. By creating an account or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and unreservedly accepted these Terms.
The App is published by OV, a sole proprietorship registered in France. For any question, complaint, or to obtain the publisher's detailed legal information, you can contact us from the "Support" section of the App's Settings.
Using the App constitutes acceptance of these Terms. If you do not accept them, you must stop using the App.
OV may amend the Terms at any time. The applicable version is the one in force at the time you use the App. In the event of a substantial change, your continued use constitutes acceptance of the new version.
Using the App requires an account. You can create one with a username, a nickname and a password, or directly with "Sign in with Apple". No email address is requested.
You are solely responsible for keeping your password confidential and for any activity carried out from your account.
You can link your account to your Apple ID. This is the only way to recover it if you lose your password: simply sign in with Apple.
IMPORTANT: without a linked Apple ID, there is no procedure to recover an account whose password has been lost or forgotten. Its loss is permanent, as is the loss of the associated OV Coins.
The App is intended for people aged at least 13. By using the App, you declare that you are of the required age. If you are a minor, you must have obtained the authorization of your legal guardian.
The App uses an internal virtual currency called "OV Coins". OV Coins have NO real monetary value: they are neither convertible, exchangeable, nor refundable for money, and can only be used within the App.
OV Coins can be obtained for free (for example by watching rewarded ads or by winning games) or acquired through in-app purchases. They constitute a mere license to use them within the App: they may not be sold, exchanged or transferred outside the App. Within the App, they only move as part of the pot described in article 8 or as a voluntary gift between friends.
Some OV Coins can be purchased through the in-app purchases offered by Apple's App Store. These transactions are processed by Apple, under its own terms and payment and refund conditions.
Purchased OV Coins are consumable digital goods with no resale value. Any refund request is subject to Apple's policy.
If Apple refunds a purchase, the corresponding OV Coins are removed from your balance. If you have already spent them, your balance becomes negative: you cannot stake until it is back to zero, for example by watching rewarded ads.
Every multiplayer game is played with an OV Coins stake, set by the player who creates the game and debited when it starts. The combined stakes of the players (the "pot") are awarded to the winner of the game.
If you leave a game in progress, you are eliminated from it and your stake stays in the pot. If your connection drops, you are granted about one minute to reconnect, during which your turns are played automatically; if you do not return within that time, you are eliminated under the same conditions. Likewise, if you do not play within the allotted time (30 seconds), a random legal card is played on your behalf so the game can continue.
Because OV Coins have no monetary value and are not convertible into money, these games do not constitute gambling within the meaning of the regulations. No real money can be won, lost, or withdrawn.
The App offers rewarded ads provided by the Google AdMob network: watching them is voluntary and lets you obtain OV Coins. No advertising is shown outside that context. The associated data processing is described in the Privacy Policy.
OV enforces a zero-tolerance policy toward objectionable content and abusive users. Any such content or behavior may result in the immediate suspension or deletion of your account, without notice.
By using the App, you agree not to: cheat or exploit a game flaw; use third-party software, bots or automation; create multiple accounts in order to bypass limits or distort the game; harass, threaten or harm other players; or disrupt the operation of the service.
Any breach may result, without notice, in the suspension or deletion of your account, as well as the loss of the associated OV Coins.
You can mute or block a player directly from the App. Any behaviour contrary to these rules can be reported from your friends list, from a game's waiting room, or from the "Support" section of the Settings.
OV reserves the right to suspend or delete any account in the event of a violation of these Terms, without notice or compensation.
You can delete your account at any time from the App. This deletion is permanent and results in the erasure of your data and the loss of your OV Coins.
Only a few items remain, described in article 7 of the Privacy Policy: an irreversible fingerprint of the Apple ID that received the welcome bonus, the anti-replay transaction identifiers, any support messages you sent, stripped of any link to your account, and any reports made about you, which keep the reported nickname so that they remain usable. None of them can reconstruct your account.
The App, its code, graphics, sounds, texts and all of its content are the exclusive property of OV and are protected by intellectual property law. Any unauthorized reproduction, representation or exploitation is prohibited.
Some elements come from third parties (music, sounds and software libraries) and remain subject to their respective licences.
The App is provided "as is". OV does not guarantee continuous availability or the absence of errors, and may interrupt, suspend or modify all or part of the service at any time.
To the extent permitted by law, OV cannot be held liable for data loss, loss of access to an account, unavailability of the service, or indirect damages. As OV Coins have no monetary value, their loss gives no right to any compensation.
The Application lets you exchange private messages with your friends and create private groups made up of your friends. These exchanges are limited to players who are friends: you only receive messages from people whose friendship you have accepted.
Besides private messages, the Application offers a chat in multiplayer game rooms (before and during a game) and a public channel open to all players. The public channel is visible to everyone and moderated. All messages are filtered automatically: a message with objectionable content is rejected and not delivered.
You are solely responsible for the content you send. Harassment, threats, hateful or discriminatory remarks and any unlawful content are prohibited. The conduct rules in article 10 fully apply to messaging.
So that a report can be handled, message content is stored on our servers and is not end-to-end encrypted: it may be reviewed if a report is made, under the conditions described in the Privacy Policy. We advise you not to share sensitive information there.
You can delete a message for yourself only or, if it is one of your own messages, for all participants. A message deleted for everyone stops being shown; its content may nonetheless be kept for as long as moderation requires. Deleting your account erases your conversations, your in-game chat and the groups you created.
In a group, member and name management is handled by the creator and the moderators they appoint; only the creator can delete the group. A group is private and limited in number of members, and each person can only add their own friends.
These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, you are invited to contact OV in order to seek an amicable solution. Failing agreement, the French courts shall have jurisdiction, subject to the mandatory legal provisions applicable to consumers.
